Miami, officially the City of Miami, is a tropical coastal city located in southeast Florida in the United States. It is currently the second most populous local metropolis in the East Coast of the United States, and it is the tenth largest in the nation. There are also several tropical beach towns like Boca Raton, Palm Beach and West Palm Beach, all of which rank within the top twenty in population. As far as educational resources go, Miami is home to a multitude of colleges and universities, including four schools that rank within the top fifty nationally. Those who are interested in both the arts and the sciences have no shortage of local colleges and universities to choose from as well.

Because Miami is a climate state, it is perhaps most famous for its long stretches of beautiful white sand beaches along the shores of south Florida. Located between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean, the beaches are just gorgeous and there are usually enough of them to make anyone take a long, leisurely stroll on any day. While the white sandy beaches are definitely stunning, the cuisine that has come to dominate Miami cuisine is something else. There is virtually no other city in the United States or even the world that can boast the kind of variety and quality of food that Miami's restaurants offer.

Miami is truly the place to go when you want to experience what Miami does to the cultural life of its residents. Although Miami is not as large as some of the larger metropolises, it is larger than many of the smaller ones as well. Whether you want to shop, dine out or simply enjoy the amazing nightlife that Miami offers, there are plenty of great options. It is definitely worth taking the time to explore Miami and exploring all that it has to offer. Miami is certain to please even the most discriminating of visitors.
